"On November 5, 2008 my life as I knew it changed! I was not an active person I was overweight, had knee pain, back pain, always tired with no energy and always stressed.

November 5 was my first evening with KMBI my husband and I signed up for the 12 Week Weight Loss Program. Weekly weigh in's and lectures on healthy eating and the effects it has on your body.

I have never stuck with any program for more than a week or two. I have had memberships at fitness centers and the Y, been on every new diet that comes out and never had any lasting results. With KMBI I have the desire to continue, I have stuck with the program for 20 weeks I enjoy the lectures and the recipes are healthy and very taste. I have lost 20 pounds and 2 sizes and still going!

The week that Personal Training was discussed I wasn't really interested but my husband signed us up. Since I had joined the program to help him get healthy and loose weight I decided to go along with what he wanted to do (I actually thanked him one night after Personal Training for talking me into it)

We started our PT classes December 8th meeting on Mondays and Thursdays. It is the best thing that I have ever done for myself (or that my husband did for me) I think my success is due to the combination of the lectures, recipes and most of all the Personal Training. I never thought Personal Training was affordable but KMBI makes it affordable because they really care about helping us get healthy.

"I was introduced to yoga and Pilates through classes being taught by Kelly Metzger at the fitness center where I work, K&K Insurance. I quickly became a member when Kelly opened her yoga studio, now known as the Kachmann Mind Body Institute. I quickly found that yoga was a good complement to the high energy cardio workouts that I was so familiar with. Those workouts, while beneficial for your heart and managing weight loss, were taking their toll on my body because I was not taking the time to stretch and lengthen the muscles that had worked so hard to propel me through them. Yoga classes have given me structured time to take care of those muscles and realignment of the spine. While I did notice that my flexibility improved through yoga, I will only be as flexible as my body structure allows, and that's not very much, but the most noticeable change that yoga has provided is strength as well as definition. I am not discounting the importance of weight training, but I have found that a consistent active yoga practice provides way more upper and lower body strength and will define your upper body and back much more than weight training. “
