Creating Hope
Creating Hope- Art Program for Cancer Survivors
Tuesdays 11-2pm, Lutheran Hospital Cancer Resource Center
From sketches of cave bears to children's drawings on the refrigerator, art has always been an integral part of humanity. Art provides an outlet for our inner thoughts and feelings while giving us a sense of control over our surroundings. Those with a serious illness have often found that art allows them to express themselves in nonverbal ways. This often allows strong emotions to be released in a way better than words.
The Lutheran Hospital Cancer Resource Center will be offering the Creating Hope art program beginning on Tuesday, February 5th in the Cancer Center lobby. Kachmann Mind Body Institute art facilitator Lean Gehm will be offering the Creating Hope art program to any cancer survivors at no charge. Stop by and enjoy working on an art project with Lean. You can stay however long you desire. You will also receive art supplies to take home. Creating Hope will be available Tuesdays from the hours of 11-2pm each week through April. If you have questions feel free to call the nurses in the Cancer Resource Center 435-7959.
